A panel will talk about heart health at home.
The University Hospitals Kingston Foundation are taking some physicians and experts on the road.
They are hosting a Talks with Docs presentation called From Hospital to Home: Transforming Heart Failure Care in Southeast Ontario.
It will take place next Tuesday (Oct 27) at the Firehall Theatre on Smith St in Gananoque. They will have a panel featuring Cardiologist and Physician Lead Dr. Aws Almuflehand, Nurse Practitioner Sam Gouett of the Heart Function Clinic, and Michael van Hartingsveldt, Superintendent of Community Paramedicine with Frontenac Paramedics.
President and CEO Paul McIntyre Royston says they will be speaking to people about how they can take care of themselves at home.
He says they will go over some of the signs of a heart attack that people should be aware of.
Those in attendance will be able to ask questions to the panel.
McIntyre Royston says this presentation is great for those who have experienced or know of someone with a heart condition.
Doors open at 5:30 pm with the presentation beginning at 6:00 pm. More information and how to register can be found by going to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation's website.
