There was a large police presence outside a home on Blossom St. Monday afternoon.
Residents of a west-end neighbourhood had to stay inside their homes as Kingston Police attended a call.
Officers went to a home on Blossom St. near Princess St. Monday afternoon about reports of a person in distress.
Investigators say there was a situation at the home that required a high police presence but it was later contained.
Police have not released any further details on the incident.
Eyewitnesses tell KingstonDaily.ca that there was someone inside the home that wouldn't come out.
Police closed all roads in the area to traffic but reopened it a few hours later.
