Helena Fedora won $1M from Welcome to Wintario contest.
A Kingston woman is the city's newest millionaire.
Helena Fedora won $1 million from OLG's 50th anniversary Welcome to Wintario Contest.
Fedora learned of her winning through a phone call.
But it was not just any phone call, the person on the other line was none other than Faye Dance, one of two original hosts of the live Wintario broadcasts.
Dance delivered the exciting news to Fedora. Fedora says one of the things she would like to do with her winnings is to see the world.
This year's Welcome to Wintario was not a lottery but a free-to-enter contest. In a news release, OLG says the unique contest was a way to say thank you to players across Ontario for 50 years of play, wins and giving back.
