Local radio host 'surprised' to be included in list of Kingston's top young professionals

WOW FM's Sideshow is one of 40 under 40 released by KEDC.

One of Kingston's biggest voices on the airwaves is now one of the city's top young professionals.

The Kingston Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) released the list of the 2025 Kingston Young Professionals 40 Under 40 Awards last Wednesday.

Among them is Ryan Lemmon, better known on-air as Sideshow, the afternoon drive host on 102.7 WOW FM.

Sideshow says he was quite surprised when he was informed that he was being recognized.

In a news release, KEDC says there were over 100 names submitted for consideration. They say that is the most nominations they have received for one year in the short three-year history of the program.

Sideshow says he is humbled to be part of a distinguished company.

When he is not spinning tunes on the radio, Sideshow is often seen out in the community whether it is with the Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL or Chinlock Wrestling.

He says he always makes an effort to make other people's days more brighter.

Sideshow would say he isn't doing what he is doing for the accolades but feels this award gives him a sense of pride.

The 40 recipients will officially receive their award at a gala Wed. Sept. 17 at the Frontenac Club.
