London scored four times in the second period.
The defending Memorial Cup champs proved to be too much for the Kingston Frontenacs.
The Knights came into Slush Puppie Place on Sunday afternoon and handed the Frontenacs their fourth straight loss in a 6-1 London victory.
The Knights were up 1-0 when they scored four times on Gavin Betts in the second period for a 5-0 lead. Betts was replaced by Matthew Minchak after the fifth goal at the 8:23 mark of the second.
Head coach Troy Mann says Betts didn't have a bad game in net but the Knights took advantage with the man advantage.
The Knights finished two-for-four on the power play.
London goaltender Aleksei Medvedev stopped the first 30 shots of the game. He let in the 31st shot off the stick of Andrew Kuzma with 39.4 seconds left in the third period for Kingston's only goal.
Mann says his team had some chances in the opening frame but couldn't get one past Medvedev.
Jaxon Cover (one goal, two assists) and Ben Wilmott (three assists) each had three points for the Knights who won their ninth game in their last 11.
It doesn't get any easier for the Frontenacs as they head back on the road for another four beginning Thursday against the Western Conference-leading Spitfires in Windsor.
Mann says the team will have to get through this next stretch of games.
You can catch all the games on Upper Canada Fuel and Burner Frontenacs Hockey on New Country 98.9 with Jim Gilchrist on the call. Game time for this Thursday is 7:05 PM.
