Modified service, office closures, and free New Year’s Eve rides announced for late December.
Kingston Transit is adjusting its service levels over the holidays, with a modified schedule running from Dec. 22 to Jan. 4. The city says the changes reflect typical holiday travel patterns while ensuring riders can still get where they need to go.
From Monday to Friday, buses will follow the Saturday schedule. On Saturdays and Sundays, a Sunday schedule will be in effect.
Several key service impacts are also planned. There will be no transit service on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1, and the customer service office will be closed on those days. The office will also be closed Dec. 24 and 26, and will operate reduced hours on Dec. 27, opening from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
On Dec. 31, riders can travel for free all day, with late-night service on Route N1 running until 3 a.m. The customer service office will stay open until 4:30 p.m.
More information is available at KingstonTransit.ca or on the Transit app.
