Best part, it's free!
Kingston residents will have an opportunity to make any unwanted property available to somebody who needs it.
The City is holding their Giveaway Day this coming Saturday April 12th.
It is the first Giveaway Day of 2025 where residents can put out used items at the curb and anyone can pick it up for free.
In a news release from the City, Giveaway Days are meant to help reduce waste that would have ended up in landfills while helping those save money.
Items that can be put out for Giveaway Day include: books, CDs, DVDs, furniture and small appliances, electronics, construction materials (including drywall, lumber, hardware), kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans.
Things that are not accepted include: baby walkers, cribs, car seats, strollers, playpens, bath seats, mattresses, blinds and toys.
Items put to the curb should have signs or stickers with the word "FREE" on them.
More information on Giveaway Days can be found by going to the City of Kingston's website.
