Kingston residents are urged to roll up their sleeves for the city-wide clean-up
Sustainable Kingston is calling on individuals, workplaces, and community groups to take part in Spring Pitch-In 2025, a city-wide clean-up happening now through Sunday, April 27.
Supported by a Rotary Club of Kingston Community Outreach Grant, the event helps beautify the city while encouraging community pride and environmental care.
To join, participants must register online, pick up a free Pitch-In bag at 196 Lappans Lane (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), and then clean a public space in their neighbourhood.
Once complete, full bags should be left at a designated drop-off spot.
Participants are also asked to share their efforts on social media using the hashtag #PitchinYGK and tag @SustainableKtown.
All volunteers should follow public health guidelines from KFL&A Public Health while cleaning.
The event is part of a growing movement encouraging residents to take action and help keep Kingston clean and green.
