A resident of an apartment complex near Notch Hill Rd is facing charges.
Charges are being laid in connection to the police presence in a Notch Hill Rd neighbourhood.
Kingston Police were called to an apartment complex late Monday night about a person in distress.
Patrol officers along with members of the Emergency Response Team arrived. Residents living near the unit were evacuated as a precaution.
It wasn't until the early hours of Tuesday morning that the person surrendered to police and was taken to hospital for an evaluation.
During the investigation, officers found several firearms, most were improperly stored.
The individual was later arrested, charged, and held for a bail hearing.
Investigators are thanking those who assisted in this incident and/or were impacted by it.
