Investigators say a woman was assaulted in the west end of the city.
A Kingston man is facing charges after an assault in Belleville.
Police went to an area's in the city's west end around 12:45 am Tuesday.
A woman told investigators that she was allegedly assaulted by a man.
Police later picked up a man and placed him under arrest but no before he allegedly spat on the arresting officers.
The 38-year-old was held for a bail hearing.
