The feedback will help develop the City’s 5-Year Service System Plan.
Parents, caregivers, educators and community partners in Kingston-Frontenac are being asked to share their experiences with child care and early years services through a new survey.
The feedback will help develop the City’s 5-Year Service System Plan (2025–2029) for licensed child care and early years programs serving children from birth to age 12. The plan is a requirement under Ontario’s Child Care and Early Years Act.
“Understanding the lived experiences of those who rely on — and deliver — child care and early years services is essential,” said Jayne Hartley, Director of Housing and Social Services. “This input helps ensure the system continues to meet the needs of our communities.”
The survey focuses on workforce development, partnerships, equity, operator support, and data reporting. Residents can complete it at Get Involved Kingston by Sept. 30, 2025.
Results will guide the plan, alongside insights from past surveys and input from Indigenous and Francophone partners.
