Kayleigh and Aurora say they were super excited and happy.
A pair of young girls in Kingston had their summer made when a woman in a truck pulled over at their lemonade stand and handed them a $100 bill.
Local resident Ashley Hartwick shared the story online, thanking the mystery woman for her generosity. She said she hadn’t seen the girls so excited in a long time.
Kayleigh, one of the girls, later described the moment in her own words.
“Me and my best friend Aurora were super excited and happy. I didn’t even know what to say to her — we were just grateful,” she said.
Kayleigh added that she split the money with Aurora and used her share to buy a new school outfit and a “really cool” water bottle.
The girls say they’ll be back with lemonade stands every summer, hoping to share more smiles with their community.
