Special Olympics Ontario, Kingston Police and LETR unite with the Frontenacs to raise funds and awareness on Dec. 6.
The Kingston Frontenacs are teaming up with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), Special Olympics Ontario and Kingston Police to shine a spotlight on individuals with an intellectual disability during their home game on December 6. The awareness event takes place at 4:05 p.m. at Slush Puppie Place as the Frontenacs face the Barrie Colts.
Fans will find a LETR and Special Olympics Ontario information kiosk on the concourse, along with in-game announcements highlighting the importance of inclusive sport and the programs supporting athletes across Ontario. Cash donations will also be collected throughout the game to support Special Olympics Ontario.
The effort is part of an ongoing partnership between the Kingston Frontenacs, LETR and Special Olympics Ontario to raise funds and increase understanding of the organization’s work.
Tickets for the game are still available through Slush Puppie Place. Fans are encouraged to join the conversation online using #Hockey4Inclusion and learn more at Special Olympics Ontario’s website.
