Partners in Mission Food Bank is close to reaching $500,000 in donations for its new location.
The Kingston-based food bank says monetary support is key to renovating the new space so it can better serve the community.
“We’re almost at $500K — thank you so much for all the generous donations,” the food bank shared on a Facebook Post.
Donations help fund the food hamper program, which provides groceries to local families.
As the main food distribution centre in the area, the organization also shares surplus food with local shelters and meal programs.
Partners in Mission offers non-perishable items and fresh foods like milk, eggs, fruits and vegetables.
Every dollar counts. Whether you give money or food, your donation helps fight hunger in Kingston.
