Two athletes from Pole Fitness Kingston made history this past weekend at the Pole & Aerial World Cup in Bologna, Italy, marking the first time Canada has competed—and medaled—at the prestigious international event.
Diana Printsev captured gold in Pole Sport, achieving her first World Cup title and a major milestone in her career. Multi-disciplinary aerial artist Margo earned silver in Aerial Silks and finished fifth in Pole Art, showcasing her versatility on the global stage.
The four-day competition brought together more than 500 elite athletes from around the world, hosted by the United Nations Aerials, the Italian Olympic Committee, and the Italian Pole & Aerial Organization.
Both athletes are also instructors at Pole Fitness Kingston, where they coach aspiring and advanced athletes. Their performances highlight Canada’s growing presence in international pole and aerial sports and serve as inspiration for aspiring athletes across the country.
These historic results put Kingston and Canada on the global pole sport map.
