A single-vehicle crash happened Thursday afternoon in Amherstview.
A motorcycle rider was seriously hurt in a crash in Amherstview on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bath Road and Westfield Road. Officers had just received reports of a fast-moving motorcycle heading eastbound on Bath Road when another call came in about the collision.
Frontenac Paramedics took the male rider to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed until 11:00 p.m. while the OPP, including a Collision Reconstructionist, investigated the scene.
Police later confirmed the injured rider is wanted in connection with unrelated criminal matters. Plain clothed officers were in the area before the crash but backed off for safety reasons.
Both the crash and the criminal investigations are ongoing.
Anyone with dashcam video or information is asked to contact the L&A County OPP.
