A 52-year-old man from Gananoque is facing charges.
A vehicle crash in Kingston has led to an impaired driving arrest.
Kingston Police say officers had just finished responding to another call when they noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed near Venture Drive and Resource Road shortly after 5:20 p.m. on December 14. Police say the vehicle then lost control and crashed into a snowbank and guard rail.
Officers approached the vehicle and began an investigation at the scene. Police say the driver was determined to be impaired by alcohol.
The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle and did not suffer any injuries as a result of the crash.
A 52-year-old man from Gananoque was arrested and taken to Kingston Police headquarters for further testing.
He has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
