A Kingston ship is turning into a haunted pirate vessel for Halloween night, and brave visitors can climb aboard for a free scare.
Tall Ship Expeditions Canada says the St. Lawrence II will transform into a Haunted Pirate Ship at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour on Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Organizers say the youth crew has been taken over by the spirits of old-time pirates who are ready to share ghostly stories and treats.
Event organizer Bridget Cai shares more.
Families can expect fun, games and plenty of candy on the evening tour. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to support youth access to sail programs aboard the St. Lawrence II.
Tall Ship Expeditions is also preparing for a big adventure in 2026. The tall ship will travel to New York City for the Sail4th 250 festival and visit ports around Lake Ontario.
Cai explains that this experience is free but donations are welcome.
Tall Ship Expeditions Canada offers youth and adult training programs that teach sailing, teamwork and leadership.
