Five of the stores that were targeted were in Kingston.
The OPP East Region Street Crime Unit has arrested three men from the Greater Toronto Area in connection with 20 commercial break-ins across eastern Ontario.
The break-ins occurred between July and September 2025 and mainly targeted convenience stores after closing hours, with thieves stealing cigarettes, lottery tickets, and cash.
The locations included Ottawa, Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall, and several OPP areas including Leeds, Grenville, Russell County, Lennox and Addington, and Quinte West.
The investigation was led by the Community Street Crime Unit in collaboration with the Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall, and Ottawa police services, along with multiple OPP detachments. Arrest warrants were issued in late October 2025, and the suspects were already in custody elsewhere.
On Tuesday, the men, aged 20, 27, and 28, were transferred to eastern Ontario and formally arrested.
They now face 390 charges, including break and enter, theft, possession of stolen goods, trafficking, mischief, and conspiracy. All remain in custody.
