The Frontenacs have made an addition to their lineup.
Kingston completed a trade the Ottawa 67’s acquiring import forward Tuomas Uronen.
Uronen is a 6’0”, right-handed shooting winger that was selected 57th overall in the 2023 CHL Import Draft by the Ottawa 67’s. The native of Kerava, Finland came to North America last season and suited up in 11 games for the 67’s before suffering a season ending injury. Previously, Uronen played for HIFK in Finland, going between their Liiga team and their U20 program. Internationally, Uronen has represented Finland in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in 2022.
“We’re excited to add Tuomas to our organization.” said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. “As an NHL drafted prospect, he has strong talent that we can add into our lineup. He has great offensive instincts and an elite shot. He should fit nicely into our system.”
Kingston Frontenacs training camp will begin in late August.
