A noxious smell was detected inside that may have come from construction work.
Something foul was in the air at the west campus of Queen's University.
The university evacuated Duncan McArthur Hall on Monday after a fire alarm was pulled.
Kingston Fire and Rescue arrived at around 9:30 am.
Officials say a noxious odour was detected inside that they believe may have come from construction work that's been happening at the campus.
They say classes were cancelled for the rest of the day.
Officials say classes will resume on Tuesday after the building was ventilated.
No injuries were reported.
