Personal information of current and former staff, some students, and some of their parents or guardians was compromised during the cyber attack.
The Limestone District School Board says personal information was compromised in the recent cyber attack.
A hacker gained access to the school board's server on April 17.
In a news release, officials with LDSB says personal information of current and former staff, some students, and some of their parents or guardians was stolen during the cyber attack.
They say some of that information include records of student attendance, suspensions, photos, and addresses.
Most of the services that was disrupted by the cyber attack was restored at the end of April.
LDSB believe the risk of the publication and misuse of the stolen information is low.
But they do say the people who had their personal information stolen will be affected in some degree and have issued a formal apology.
A list of affected schools can be found by going to the LDSB website.
