Police say no injuries were reported after car drove into snowbank
A single vehicle crash in Kingston led to an impaired driving arrest.
Kingston Police say officers were in the area of Venture Drive and Resource Road at about 5:23 p.m. on December 14 after finishing another call when they noticed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
Police report the vehicle then lost control and crashed into a snowbank and a guard rail. Officers approached the scene and began an investigation. Through that investigation, police determined the driver was impaired by alcohol.
The driver was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
A 52-year-old person from Gananoque was arrested at the scene and later transported to Kingston Police Headquarters. The accused has been charged with impaired operation and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
