The expansion of the BGC programs begins Jan. 1.
BGC South East, formerly BGC Kingston, is expanding its programs and services into Leeds and Grenville to support children, youth, and families following the announced closure of Big Brothers Big Sisters Leeds and Grenville, effective December 31, 2025.
The organization, which serves over 6,200 children and youth annually across more than 10 sites, offers programs in early learning, recreation, education, STEM, and youth employment. CEO Harold Parsons says the expansion ensures that no young person in the region is left without access to meaningful, life-changing opportunities.
BGC South East’s programs are HIGH FIVE® accredited, emphasizing quality and child development outcomes. The organization recently launched a 9,000-square-foot STEM & Robotics Centre, featuring a Makerspace, robotics field, computer lab, and classrooms.
The expansion will begin in January 2026, with BGC South East working closely with community leaders and partners to sustain and enhance services. Residents can learn more at www.bgcsoutheast.ca.
