American visitors launch river rally to back Canada in surprise show of cross-border love

Ogdensburgh, New York residents held an “Elbows Up for Canada” rally on Saturday to show solidarity with Canadians.

Called the “Friendship Flotilla,” participants boated along the St. Lawrence River with flags and signs, promoting cross-border unity.

Our Evan Gibb caught up with this woman at Blockhouse Island to get her thoughts.

He also talked to Roger Hill, a resident of Cardinal.

The flotilla passed through Brockville around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
