Snowy conditions and more flurries in the forecast leave families watching bus cancellations.
Kingston residents were briefly teased with milder weather last week before winter made an abrupt comeback.
After several days of slush, snow returned to the region as old man winter reminded residents that spring is still months away. Multiple centimetres of snow fell across the city, coating roads, sidewalks and driveways and bringing wintry conditions back to daily life.
Environment forecasts suggest the cold snap is far from over. Flurries are expected to continue throughout the week, with daytime highs hovering near seasonal norms and overnight temperatures dipping below freezing.
The sudden return of winter weather has also sparked questions among families, particularly when it comes to bus schedules. With snowy mornings once again becoming the norm, parents are watching closely for possible bus delays or school closures.
While false springs are nothing new in Canada, this latest swing in weather serves as another reminder that winter still has a firm grip on the region.
