Spirit of Winter: Enchanted extended through the end of February after strong community response.
Spirit of Winter: Enchanted is continuing to light up downtown Kingston after organizers announced the popular event has been extended to the end of February.
Originally scheduled to run from Feb. 1 to 16, the winter attraction will now remain open longer, giving residents and visitors more time to enjoy the seasonal experience at Springer Market Square. The extension comes as strong attendance and positive feedback continue to draw crowds to the downtown core.
Event manager Sandi Griffiths says that the snow domes were a particularly popular attraction.
The Spirit of Winter Snow Dome Village are in the square’s amphitheatre. Groups can reserve a 60-minute stay in heated domes equipped with cozy blankets, seating and Bluetooth speakers, with food and drinks delivered from local restaurants
The event transforms Market Street into an illuminated enchanted forest, with glowing lights and surprises around every corner. Visitors can lace up their skates and glide under the stars, then warm up around outdoor firepits while enjoying s’mores.
Organizers say extending the event allows more people to take part in the winter magic before the season ends.
