Best alternative with mail donations halted
You may be getting a knock on your door this week asking for a donation as part of the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
CEO Tom Zsolnay says they traditionally send out mail to get donations at this time of year, to either patients who have needed care in the past or just bulk addresses hoping to reach an individual who may feel to nudge to help out.
Zsolnay said, this year, there is a notable snag in that plan.
He said one benefit from this is when people go door to door, they get to better connect with the community and let them know why their donation matters.
With that, Zsolnay is aware that there are concerns about people going door to door - and they are doing everything in their power to help with that.
If any member of the public is unsure, they can call a toll-free number 833-341-0106 to verify.
This is not their first time testing the waters going door to door, and he said it was a big success in the summer.
They asked the community to please consider joining the UHKF’s monthly donor community today and help “Deck the Halls with Care and Compassion!”
