A Seeley’s Bay retiree is celebrating a $50,000 lottery win after scratching a BINGO ticket she received as a birthday gift.
Theresa V. won the top prize on an OLG BINGO SCRATCH ticket, purchased at Orsmbee’s Mercantile on Battersea Road in Inverary.
The 66-year-old says she has been playing scratch tickets once a week for about 10 years, but this was her first big win.
Theresa says she was at home when she discovered the prize and initially froze in disbelief. She later shared the exciting news with the friend who gave her the ticket.
Theresa plans to invest and save the winnings, saying the money will provide a financial cushion to fall back on.
