The Partners in Mission Food Bank in Kingston is being recognized as one of the best charities in Canada.
Charity Intelligence Canada has put out the lists of the top non-profits.
Partners in Mission made the Top-10 in two categories: Canadian Impact and Food Bank.
Executive Director Dan Irwin says the honour is a testament of the great work they are doing for the community.
Charity Intelligence Canada is a third-party organization that provides information on charities so that donors can make an informed decision.
Director of Research Greg Thomson says Partners in Mission were able to meet a number of their criteria.
Thomson adds looking at the business end of the non-profit will show potential donors how their money is being put to work.
The Daily Bread Food Bank, Second Harvest, and Feed Ontario are among the organizations alongside Partners in Mission in the food bank category.
Irwin says it is quite humbling to be included with these organizations.
This was not the first time Partners in Mission had been recognized by Charity Intelligence. They previously made the lists in 2022 and 2023.
