The space was provided through a $250,000 gift from the estate of John Weatherall.
Personal Support Worker students at St. Lawrence College now have a new place for their studies.
The college officially opened a new dedicated hands-on learning space at the Kingston campus on Wednesday.
Associate Dean in Allied Health Megan Bailey says this will give students in the program more opportunities to put what they learn into practice.
The new learning space was made possible through a $250,000 gift from the Estate of John Weatherall.
Bailey says the college is very gratful for the generosity that the Weatherall estate has given to the them.
She says the new space will also be used by other students.
Bailey says the learning space is an investment in the students and the future of the health care workforce.
