Nolan Snyder and Adam Goljer each with a goal and an assist for Kingston.
The Kingston Frontenacs walked out of Friday's game with a few battle scars and two points.
The team held their Salute to Service Night as hundreds of military members and their families were at Slush Puppie Place to see the Frontenacs beat the visiting Oshawa Generals 5-2.
Adam Goljer got the home side on the scoreboard first with his sixth of the season on the power play and a 1-0 first period lead. Robin Kuzma put the Frontenacs up 2-0 in the second period.
Nolan Snyder fed a pass to Kuzma who tipped it past Matthew Humphries (35 saves) for the shorthanded goal.
The game then got chippy as Generals forward Harrison Franssen delivered a vicious hit on Snyder. Franssen then went toe-to-toe with Frontenacs Captain Vann Williamson.
Williamson got the instigator that comes with a ten-minute misconduct.
Oshawa (6-7-4-1) responded in the third with goals from Cayden Taylor and Tyler Hynde to tie the game up at 2-2.
But on the next shift, Landon Wright found Nolan Buttar in the offensive zone. Buttar's shot went through the legs of Humphries to give Kingston a 3-2 lead.
Head coach Troy Mann says that line provided a spark that his team needed.
Snyder and Cole Zurawski would add goals later in the period to help seal the win for the Frontenacs (13-5-0-0), their sixth straight and 10 of their last 11.
Forward Alex McLean had a pair of assists and says the culture of the team has played in the role in their recent success.
The second bout of the night featured Matthew Henderson of the Frontenacs and the Generals' Mark Pape in a spirited tilt.
Mann says that physicality was something they were expecting from the Generals.
Royden Smith made 16 saves for the Frontenacs.
The Frontenacs welcome the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm. You can catch the game with Jim Gilchrist on New County 98.9 with Upper Canada Fuel and Burner Frontenacs Hockey.
