A 45-year-old Kingston resident and two young offenders from the Greater Toronto Area are facing charges.
Kingston Police say a loaded handgun, fentanyl and crystal meth were seized during a street crime investigation earlier this month.
This month, the Kingston Police Street Crime Unit began investigating suspects believed to be trafficking fentanyl and other illicit drugs in the city. On Aug. 7, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Bagot Street with help from the drug, emergency response and canine units.
Three people inside were arrested, including one found with a loaded .40 calibre Taurus semi-automatic handgun. Police say they also seized Canadian cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
A 45-year-old Kingston resident and two young offenders from the Greater Toronto Area face drug trafficking and possession of proceeds charges. Police say one youth is also charged with multiple firearm offences.
All three remain in custody pending bail hearings. Police urge the public to report drug or weapons tips online or by phone, with anonymous options available.
