Four Kingston artists have been selected to take part in the 2025 Local Arts Residency program at the Baby Grand Theatre.
Now in its fifth year, the program gives local creators space, resources, and time to develop new work in a professional setting.
The residency, run by the City of Kingston, was launched in 2021 to support artists affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It offers each participant access to the Baby Grand’s high-quality facilities, technical support, and a $1,000 honourarium.
This year’s artists-in-residence are Kiara Flavin with the Ground UP Dance Festival, Katie Legere with Chris Alfano and William Egnatoff, the duo of Jarena Lee and Sarra Mirghani, and the team of Nathan Zhe and Kelvin Chun.
The four artists were selected through an open call and juried review. Their work will take place this July in the heart of downtown Kingston, offering a unique look into the creative process.
