Companies are donating their credits to the Hockey Diversity Program run by BGC South East.
More kids in Kingston will be able to play hockey for free.
Several Kingston businesses who hold naming rights at city-owned facilities are donating the credits they received through their agreements with the City of Kingston. The credits can be used at these facilities.
Companies like INVISTA, CaraCo, Philip McLean Desjardins Insurance, CUPE 109 and Selkirk Homes are donating their credits to the Hockey Diversity Program operated by the BGC South East in partnership with the Kingston Area Minor Hockey Association, Kingston Frontenacs, and the Hockey Diversity Alliance.
The program offers children in underrepresented communities with the opportunity to experience hockey by removing financial and accessibility barriers for things such as equipment and ice time.
More information on the Hockey Diversity Program can be found on BGC Southeast’s website. (https://www.bgcsoutheast.ca/programs/hockeydiversityprogram/)
