The remaining sections of the project were expected to open with a granular surface by the end of day yesterday, Oct. 7, allowing traffic to once again move through the area.
Drivers should still expect temporary alternating lane closures while crews complete the remaining work.
The contractor remains on track to meet the project’s Nov. 15, 2026 completion target, although some minor seasonal finishing work is expected in spring 2027.
The municipality said all timelines remain subject to weather and site conditions.
Officials thanked residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and understanding throughout the construction project.
