Kingston Police release collision report.
Kingston Police have released their first-quarter collision report for 2025, showing a slight increase in crashes compared to the same time last year.
Between January 1 and March 31, there were 759 collisions in Kingston. Police responded to 255 of those, while 504 were self-reported. A total of 1,195 vehicles were involved, down slightly from 1,235 in early 2024.
Police say 33 people suffered non-fatal injuries, and no one died in police-attended crashes. Of the police-reported incidents, 203 were listed as property damage only, while 18 showed no reportable damage.
Six collisions involved pedestrians, with three happening at four-way stops. One crash involved a cyclist, who suffered non-fatal injuries at Taylor-Kidd Boulevard and Centennial Drive.
Officers also found eight drivers involved in collisions had suspended licenses. Four crashes involved alcohol or drugs. Three drivers were over the legal blood alcohol limit.
Most crashes happened on clear days and dry roads. The top intersection for collisions was Bath Road and Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, with 10 incidents.
