Alan Langdon of Circular Materials says people will be able to recycle more materials than before.
The head of the company in charge of Ontario's recycling system hopes people across the province embrace changes which see many more items allowed in your blue box now.
That includes coffee cups, toothpaste tubes and even wrapping and tissue paper.
CEO of Circular Materials, Alan Langdon says despite the closure of the Kingston-area recycling centre at the end of last year, residents have options if they have extra recyclables.
Emterra is located in Greater Napanee but Langdon says don't worry about that.
Langdon says households can have more than one blue bin, there's really no limit on them as they encourage people to recycle as much as possible.
He says there's no plan to reopen the recycling centre in Kingston but they could explore the possibility of getting larger blue bins into Kingston now that many more items are allowed in recycling.
