Police say suspect identified on CCTV after pushing employee and fleeing store.
A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged following a robbery at a downtown Kingston business, according to Kingston Police.
Police say the incident happened March 30 at about 2:30 p.m. at a store in the 300 block of Princess Street.
Investigators allege the youth entered the business, tried on several items and then attempted to leave without paying.
When confronted by an employee, the accused allegedly pushed the worker backwards before fleeing the store.
Officers responding to the scene later reviewed CCTV footage and were able to identify the suspect.
Police say the accused was located and arrested later that day at about 5:30 p.m.
The teen has been charged with robbery and mischief under $5,000.
They were taken to police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
