She's hopeful to move on to the next round
A Kingston resident managed to strike a chord on Canada's Got Talent.
Singer Kyra Daniel was on Wednesday night's episode performing a rendition of Mickey Guyton's "Black Like Me'.
Her performance blew away the judges.
Kyra spoke to FLY-FM's Reid and Ben the next day and tells them while she is used to singing in front of a live audience, it was different performing with millions of people watching on television.
Kyra says she chose to sing "Black Like Me" because she connected with that song.
She says she also got to meet Guyton and have since become close friends.
Kyra says what made the evening more satisfying was that she was performing in front of two established Canadian artists: rapper Kardinal Offishall and country singer Shania Twain.
Now that she has impressed the judges, and hopefully those who tuned in, Kyra will wait to see if she moves on to the next round.
