Montreal St. at John Counter Blvd. will be closed overnight this week for road paving.
A major intersection in Kingston will be closed for final road work.
The City of Kingston announced on Monday that paving work will be done at the intersection of Montreal St. and John Counter Blvd. weather permitting.
The area around the intersection had recently undergone water and sewer upgrades.
Starting Tuesday and going until Friday, the intersection will be fully closed each night at 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next day.
The City says there will be no impact to service on Kingston Transit and emergency services will be allowed to by-pass the closure.
They say daytime work will continue with the intersection open to traffic.
They say work on the installation of sidewalks, multi-use pathway paving, landscaping, road painting and signage and activation of signals will be done once they completed paving.
