What’s open and closed in Kingston this Thanksgiving Monday

Municipal facilities, and offices will be closed; Cataraqui Centre and grocery stores will be open.

Thanksgiving Monday will bring a number of municipal closures and schedule changes across the city.

On Monday, Oct. 13, there will be no garbage, green bin or recycling collection in Kingston. Collection will occur the day after the regular pickup day. The Kingston Area Recycling Centre will also be closed.

Kingston Transit buses will run on a Sunday schedule. Express 601/602 routes will be replaced by Route 60. Kingston Access Services will offer limited service; riders can call 613-542-2512 for details.

Administrative offices, including Housing and Social Services on Montreal Street, will be closed. Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro will also be closed, though emergency services remain available at 613-546-1181.

All recreation facilities, including INVISTA Centre, Artillery Park, Rideau Heights and Kingston East Community Centre, will be closed. Marinas will have fueling stations open but offices closed. The Kingston Grand Theatre Box Office and PumpHouse Museum will also be closed.

Most LCBO's and Beer Stores will be closed with grocery stores having reduced hours. The Cataraqui Centre will be open 11am-5pm.
