What's Good with Kingston Frontenacs: The chase is on

Fronts will face a team chasing them in the standings and another that the Fronts are chasing.

The Kingston Frontenacs will have a chance this weekend to catch up with the teams in the Eastern Conference that are ahead of them in the standings. At the same time, they are looking to pull away from the rest of the pack who are on the outside looking in.

The Frontenacs won both are their games even though one had to be moved due to the winter storm on Sunday.

The team's Director of Ticketing and Marketing Strategies Colton Robb says the way the team pulled out the win in Oshawa on Tuesday was really special.

The win gives the Frontenacs a regular season record of 21-21-2-2 for 46 points good for 7th place in the OHL's Eastern Conference.

Kingston is hosting a pair of games this weekend at Slush Puppie Place. The first goes Friday night when the Sudbury Wolves come to town on Loonie Hot Dog night.

Robb says this will be the first meeting of the season between the two teams.

Sudbury holds the 8th and final playoff spot with 38 points.

On Sunday, the Peterborough Petes come to town. They sit 4th in the conference with 53 points.

Robb says the game will have a special start time of 1 pm as part of a league-wide promotion.

Tickets are available for both games and you can purchase them by going to the Kingston Frontenac's website. If you can't make it to either game, tune into Upper Canada Fuel and Burner Frontenacs Hockey on New Country 98.9 with Jim Gilchrist on the call.
