Residents living the Development Dr. area had no water as crews worked to repair the line.
Some residents in a west-end Kingston neighbourhood were without water and roads looking like a river.
Kingston Fire and Rescue attended an area on Development Dr. west of Stanford St. Wednesday afternoon for reports of flooding in the area.
Water was seen covering the road and it was determined that the flood was caused by a broken water main.
Roads were closed as crews from Utilities Kingston were brought in to fix the line.
A tree removal service was later brought in to take down a tree that was required in order to facilitate the repairs.
Utilities Kingston posted on their website that service to the area would resume around 6 am on Thursday.
They say the cause of the water main rupture is still under investigation.
