Lee Spafford helped an elderly resident out of a house as it was in flames.
Not all heroes wear capes, some are dressed in brown shirts and shorts delivering packages.
Lee Spafford was driving his UPS truck along Dolshire Avenue in Kingston on Wednesday when he spotted a fire nearby.
Spafford immediately went to the home where he discovered the fire starting to burn out of control.
He explained to Reid and Ben of 98.3 FLY FM what happened when he arrived.
The resident was a 90-year-old woman.
Kingston Fire and Rescue arrived shortly thereafter and were able to put out the blaze before it spread to neighbouring homes.
There were no reports of injuries.
Spafford was commended by his employer, supervisor, and peers for his heroic actions.
He says he never gave what he did a second thought.
There has been no word from fire officials about the cause or damage estimate.
