Police charged two people with impaired driving in Lennox and Addington County over the weekend, including a teen.
On Friday, June 20, around 7 p.m., OPP officers were called about a vehicle that hit a guardrail on Highway 401 westbound and didn’t stop.
Officers later found the vehicle at a nearby carpool lot.
The driver, 39-year-old Ryan Sproule from Odessa, was arrested and charged with impaired driving, having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system, and dangerous driving.
He was released with a court date set for July 8 in Greater Napanee. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded.
The next day, June 21, around 1 p.m., a concerned citizen called police about a possible impaired driver on County Road 2 in Loyalist Township.
Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested a 17-year-old from Newburgh.
The teen was also charged with impaired driving and over 80 mg. The youth was released with a future court date, licence suspension, and vehicle impoundment.
