No injuries reported as crews put out the blaze; fire resulted in 2 lanes closed to traffic.
A transport truck fire on Highway 401 in Kingston made for a long day for motorists.
Emergency crews were called to the westbound lanes of the 401 just west of the Montreal St. off ramp sometime just before 11 am Tuesday.
Kingston Fire and Rescue arrived and managed to put out the blaze.
The 2 right lanes were closed off to allow for debris to be cleaned up.
Traffic was backed up as a result and OPP closed the westbound 401 on-ramp at Highway 15.
The scene was cleared around 4 pm.
There were no reports of injuries.
