St. Lawrence College hosts two-day convocation at Slush Puppie Place

Over 3,000 students will be receiving their diplomas this week.

St. Lawrence College is holding their convocation for their students at the Kingston campus at Slush Puppie Place.

Around 3,000 students are expected to receive their diplomas over two days.

Those in the school of business in programs such as International Business Management, Digital Marketing Communications, and Tourism will receive their diplomas at Thursday night's ceremony.

There will be two sessions on Friday where graduates in Allied Health, Business, Community Services, and Nursing will receive their diplomas in the morning.

The afternoon session will feature graduates in the schools of Applied Science and Technology, Arts, Media and Design, Interdisciplinary Studies and Pathways, SLC+ Continuing Education, and Skilled Trades.

In a news release, this year marks the first graduating class from SLC’s standalone Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program — a major milestone for the college.

There will be honourary diplomas given to Julie Tompkins, (Retired) VP Corporate Services and Chief Communications Officer at Empire Life on Thursday, and to Dr. Jagdeep Singh Walia on Friday.
