Nearly 10 days of bus cancellations disrupt Kingston families.
Kingston area families have seen multiple school bus cancellations so far in 2026 as winter weather continues to disrupt travel, according to local transportation alerts.
Tri-Board Student Transportation Services has issued cancellations on at least eight separate days in January. Including January 5th-7th, January 15th and January 19th-22nd, when snow, ice and slick conditions led to buses being pulled off the road across Kingston and surrounding zones.
Tri-Board says cancellations and delays are posted online and families are encouraged to sign up for alerts so they know when buses are running or stopped.
Parents say frequent changes have made winter mornings unpredictable but safety remains a priority for the board.
