Queen's look to spoil Waterloo's homecoming weekend

The Gaels head on the road for a second straight week.

The Queen's Gaels football team will look to string a pair of wins together in another hostile environment.

The Gaels (2-2) are on the road for a second straight week taking on the Warriors (1-3) in Waterloo on Saturday.

Head coach Steve Snyder says they will be a facing a team that plays the game with a different style.

Last Saturday, the Gaels defense managed to pick off Varsity Blues quarterback five times in their 44-6 victory.

Snyder says the defense is going to have to be at the ready as the Warriors will get creative in generating offence.

Alex Vreeken will look to duplicate his performance against U of T.

The fifth-year quarterback completed 14 of 20 pass attempts for 223 yards with three touchdowns. Running back Jared Chisari ran for 183 yards on 21 carries and two TDs.

University of Waterloo will be having their homecoming on the weekend and Vreeken says taking the home crowd out of the game will be just as key as keeping the Warriors' defense in check.

Game time at Warrior Field in Waterloo is 1 p.m.
